Step by Step
Running Deep Research Simultaneously
- Open ChatGPT and ensure the 'Deep Research' model is selected from the model dropdown menu.
- Enter your research prompt and click 'Send'.
- Open Perplexity AI, activate the 'Deep Research' toggle (or 'Pro' mode), enter the same prompt, and press 'Enter'.
- Open Google Gemini, select the 'Deep Research' feature from the available options, enter the prompt, and send.
- Open Grok (on X/Twitter), select 'Deep Research' mode, and enter the same prompt.
- Allow all platforms to process the information for 10 to 15 minutes until the full reports are generated.
Exporting and Managing Research Results
- On ChatGPT: Highlight the entire report text, right-click, and select 'Copy'.
- On Perplexity: Click the 'Export' button at the bottom of the report and select the 'PDF' format to download.
- On Gemini: Click the 'Export to Docs' icon (Google Docs logo) to save the report directly to your Google Drive.
- On Grok: Highlight the research report text and 'Copy' it (or use the copy button if available).
Consolidating Data into NotebookLM
- Open NotebookLM (notebooklm.google.com) and create a new notebook.
- Click the 'Add Source' (+) button.
- Select 'Pasted text', paste the text from ChatGPT, name it 'ChatGPT Research', and click 'Insert'.
- Click 'Add Source' again, select 'Upload File' or 'Local File', and choose the PDF file downloaded from Perplexity.
- Click 'Add Source', select 'Google Docs', and locate the Gemini report file you exported earlier.
- Click 'Add Source' and select 'Pasted text' to input the research results from Grok.
- Once all sources are added, NotebookLM will process the documents automatically.
Generating a Centralized Analysis
- Click on 'Notebook Guide' at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select 'Briefing Doc' to generate a summary document that combines key facts from all four platforms.
- Use the chat box in NotebookLM to ask specific questions based on the consolidated data (e.g., 'Based on all these sources, what are the top 5 must-have features for my app?').
- Click on 'Audio Overview' if you want to generate a podcast-style discussion (AI conversation) regarding the research findings.
