How to Run Automated Research with NotebookLM

1. Go to the official NotebookLM website and log in to your account.
2. Click the 'Create notebook' button to start a new project.
3. In the 'Add sources' section, select the 'Fast research' tab located at the top.
4. Select 'Web' to search for public internet references, or 'Google Drive' if you want to search through your private files.
5. Enter your research topic or question into the text box (Example: 'AI agents on automations for marketing').
6. Click the 'Send' icon or press Enter to start the AI reference search process.
7. Wait a moment while NotebookLM lists the discovered sources. Click on each source to preview its content.
8. Uncheck any sources that you find irrelevant (e.g., unofficial Reddit posts).
9. Click the 'Import [X] sources' button to add those references to your notebook.
10. For a more in-depth study, click 'Add sources' again and select 'Deep research' mode.
11. Enter the same topic and let the AI perform a comprehensive analysis (this process can take up to 10 minutes).
12. Click 'Import' again once the 'Deep research' reference list has finished generating.
