How to Generate Your First Song with Udio
- Log in to the Udio website using your Google account.
- Enter a prompt or song description in the input field at the top (e.g., 'a sassy cat with a dapper hat').
- Select a music genre from the provided options or type a specific genre (e.g., 'Country').
- In the lyrics section, select 'Autogenerated' for automatic lyrics, or choose 'Custom' if you want to input your own lyrics (e.g., lyrics from ChatGPT).
- Click the 'Create' button to start the audio generation process.
- Wait for the rendering process to finish. You will receive two 30-second variations of the song.
- Click the 'Play' button to listen to your song.
Using the 'Remix' Technique to Modify Songs
- Select the song you want to modify from your track list.
- Click the 'Remix' button located on that track.
- Modify the lyrics or change the song's 'style' in the provided fields.
- Adjust the 'Variance' slider to set the level of change: 'Low' for results close to the original, or 'High' for a significantly different outcome.
- Click 'Create' to generate the new remix version.
How to Extend Song Duration
- Find a 30-second track you like in your library.
- Click the 'Extend' button located under the song title.
- Udio will add another 30 seconds to the existing song structure (vocals and instruments will remain consistent).
- Repeat this process multiple times if you want to produce a full-length song lasting several minutes.
How to Download and Share Songs
- Click the 'Share' button on the completed track.
- Select 'Download Audio' to save the file to your device.
- Alternatively, select the 'Share' link to share the song directly with others via social media.
