How to Generate Formatted Excel Files with Claude Artifacts

1. Open Claude.ai and log in to your account.
2. Ensure the 'Artifacts' feature is enabled in your account settings (usually found under Claude Preview or Feature Preview).
3. Click the 'Paperclip' or 'Upload' icon in the chat box.
4. Select and upload your raw data file (e.g., .csv or .xlsx).
5. Enter a prompt providing context for the data and specify that you want the analysis delivered as an Excel file with multiple tabs.
6. Wait for Claude to generate the 'Artifact' window on the right side of the screen.
7. Review the generated tabs (such as Raw Data, Analysis, and Recommendations) directly within the Claude preview.
8. Click the 'Download' button or the file icon at the bottom of the Artifact window to save the .xlsx file to your computer.

How to Convert Data Analysis into PowerPoint Slides

1. Continue using the same chat after the Excel file has been generated.
2. Type a prompt instructing Claude to convert the data into a PowerPoint presentation (e.g., 'Turn this analysis into a PowerPoint presentation').
3. Claude will generate a new Artifact displaying the slide deck (pitch deck).
4. Use the chat box to provide additional instructions if needed, such as 'Use my brand colors' or 'Strategically add more emojis'.
5. Click the 'Download' button in the Artifact window to download the final presentation file.
