Lightroom vs. Photoshop for AI
Use Lightroom if you are handling large volumes of photos (bulk editing), such as 300 images. You can now perform retouching and object removal directly within Lightroom, eliminating the need for a 'round trip' (export-import) to Photoshop.
Advantages of Generative Remove
This feature works similarly to Generative Fill in Photoshop. It is highly effective for removing distractions with realistic results because the AI generates new pixels that seamlessly match the original image's surroundings.
Step by Step
How to Use Generative Remove in Adobe Lightroom
- Open Adobe Lightroom and select the photo you want to edit from your library.
- Click the 'Remove' icon (the eraser or band-aid icon) located in the toolbar on the right.
- Locate and enable the 'Generative Remove' option in the panel that appears.
- Adjust the 'Brush' size according to the object you want to remove.
- Paint or brush over the unwanted subject or element in the image until it is completely covered.
- Wait for the AI to process the image; Adobe will use generative AI technology to delete the object and automatically fill the space with a matching background.
- Click 'Apply' or 'Done' to save the changes to your photo.
