Offline & Local Access

Even though Ace-Step is accessed through a browser via a URL, it runs entirely locally on your computer. This means you can use it without an internet connection (offline) once all models have been fully downloaded.

Mandatory Step: Initialize Service

Many users make the mistake of trying to run AI functions as soon as the interface opens. You MUST click 'Initialize Service' every time you start a new session to activate the models behind the scenes.

Auto-Configuration for New Users

Don't panic if the model file paths appear empty at first. Ace-Step is designed to automatically detect and download missing AI components during the 'first run'.
Step by Step

How to Launch the Ace-Step 1.5 Interface

  1. Open the 'AEP' folder that you have downloaded or installed on your computer.
  2. Click on the address bar at the top of the File Explorer window.
  3. Type 'cmd' and press 'Enter' to open the Command Prompt directly in that directory.
  4. Wait for the server to start and display a local URL link (usually starting with http://127.0.0.1 or localhost).
  5. Hold the 'Ctrl' key and click the link, or 'Copy' and 'Paste' the link into your web browser.
  6. Once the web interface opens, click the 'Initialize Service' button first before trying any other functions.
  7. Select your preferred interface language in the 'UI Language' section.
  8. Check the 'Checkpoint file field', 'Main model path', and 'Model path' sections. If these fields are empty, leave them as they are; the system will perform an 'auto download' automatically during the first run.
