Fixed vs. Dynamic Values

For fields that change constantly (like task titles), leave them empty so the AI Agent can 'think' for itself. For fields that remain the same (like Assistant Name or Owner), set a fixed value (hardcode).

Notion Date Setting Tips

If your Notion database only uses dates without specific times, make sure to only select 'Start Time' in the tool configuration and ignore 'End Time' or 'Include Time' to avoid data format errors.
Step by Step

How to Add the 'Create Task' Tool to Your AI Agent

  1. Click on the 'Module Tool' section within your AI Agent settings interface.
  2. Select 'Create a new module tool'.
  3. Use the search bar and select 'Notion'.
  4. Choose the 'Create a database item' action from the list of available Notion actions.
  5. Select the Notion connection you previously set up (e.g., 'demo connection').
  6. Click the 'Database' dropdown and select your task database (e.g., 'Tasks database').
  7. Wait a moment for the AI to automatically display all the fields existing in that database.
  8. Leave the 'Name', 'Status', and 'Due Date' (Start Time) fields empty or dynamic so the AI Agent can determine them based on the user's prompt.
  9. In the 'Assigned to' field, manually select your name if you want the task to always be assigned to you (fixed value).
  10. Leave the 'Completed Date' field empty for new tasks.
  11. Click the 'Add' or 'Save' button to activate the tool on the AI Agent.
