How to Automatically Convert Long YouTube Videos into Shorts
- Open the VEED dashboard and select the 'Get Clips' or 'Repurpose' feature.
- Paste the YouTube video link you want to convert into the provided URL field.
- Click the 'Get Clips' button to start processing the video.
- Select 'Portrait' as the video format for a vertical (9:16) display.
- Choose your preferred Caption Style, such as 'Viral Shorts' or 'Highlights'.
- Select 'Auto' under 'Length of the clip' to let the AI determine the best duration of up to 60 seconds.
- Wait for the AI to finish processing and splitting your long video into several short clips.
- Review the AI Score given to each clip based on categories like 'Flow' to select the clips with the highest viral potential.
- Click on your preferred clip to see a preview.
- Click the 'Edit' button on the selected clip to enter the advanced editing workspace.
- Click and drag the caption elements to adjust their position on the video as needed.
- Use the editing panel to fix any spelling errors or change the caption style with a single click.
- Once you are satisfied with the AI reframing and captions, click the 'Export' or 'Done' button to download your video.
