Be Wary of Sequence-Based GPTs
Avoid calling GPTs that have a very strict communication sequence (step-by-step interaction). These types of GPTs are built for human interaction and will often trip up when required to interact with output from another GPT.
Focus on 'Actions'
The best combinations involve using GPTs with 'Actions' functionality (connecting to external data or tools). This is far more effective than combining two GPTs that only provide standard text instructions.
Avoid 'Too Many Cooks'
Do not call too many GPTs (e.g., 5 or more) at once without close supervision. Without a 'manager' or manual control from you, the conversation can become utter chaos because each GPT has a different way of thinking.

Step by Step
How to Use ChatGPT Mentions to Combine GPTs
- Open ChatGPT and ensure you are using a ChatGPT Plus account.
- Start a new conversation or enter any existing GPT chat.
- Click on the message box at the bottom of the screen.
- Type the '@' symbol on your keyboard to display a list of GPTs you have used or pinned to the sidebar.
- Select the first GPT you want to assign a task to from the dropdown list.
- Enter your prompt or specific instructions for that GPT and press Enter.
- Wait for the first GPT to finish providing its response.
- Type the '@' symbol again in the same message box and select a different second GPT.
- Give instructions to the second GPT to process, review, or continue the work based on the output from the first GPT.
- Repeat this process if you need to involve more GPTs in the same workflow.
