How to Generate an Audio Overview (Podcast) in NotebookLM
- Open the NotebookLM website and log in to your Google account.
- Click the 'New Notebook' button to create a new workspace.
- In the left sidebar, click the 'Add source' button (+ icon) to upload your documents.
- Select your document source (PDF, Google Docs, or manual text copy). You can add up to 50 sources.
- Wait for the 'Source grounding' process to finish to ensure the AI has fully processed the documents.
- Click on the 'Notebook guide' tab located at the bottom right of the screen.
- Find the 'Audio Overview' section and click the 'Generate' button to automatically create a podcast-style conversation.
- To change the tone or focus, click the 'Customize' button (if available) and enter specific instructions regarding the topics you want to emphasize.
- Click 'Play' to listen or 'Download' to save the audio file.
