How to Automate Screenshot Organization with Claude Cowork
- Launch the Claude Cowork app on your computer.
- Grant permission to the folder containing your cluttered screenshots (e.g., Desktop or Dropbox folder).
- Select the Claude model you want to use at the top of the interface; choose 'Claude 3 Opus' for the most accurate image analysis and organization quality.
- Select the 'default prompt' provided for file organization or enter your own custom organization instructions.
- Let Claude scan the folder; it will detect the number of files (e.g., 2,900 screenshots) and automatically generate a 'to-do list'.
- Click the button to start the organization process; Claude will begin creating new folders by topic, renaming files (from 'screenshot' to descriptive names), and moving them.
