How to Set Up Claude Computer Use on Mac
- Visit claude.ai/download to download the Claude desktop app.
- Install the Claude app onto your Mac.
- Open the Claude app and select the 'Claude Co-Work' tab located at the top of the screen.
- Navigate to the settings section within the app to manage access permissions.
- Locate the 'Allow browser use' option and toggle it ON to enable Claude to interact with Google Chrome.
- Locate the 'Computer use' option and toggle it ON to allow the AI to take screenshots and control your keyboard and mouse.
- If there are sensitive applications you wish to hide, click on 'Denied apps' and add them to the list.
- Open 'System Settings' on your macOS and go to the 'Privacy & Security' section.
- Select the 'Accessibility' menu and ensure the 'Claude' app is permitted (toggle ON).
