How to Visualize Data Using ChatGPT Canvas

1. Open ChatGPT and click on the 'Tools' menu at the top left.
2. Select 'Canvas' mode from the displayed list.
3. Click the 'Attach' button (paperclip icon) or choose to upload files directly from Google Drive/Microsoft OneDrive.
4. Select a spreadsheet file (e.g., .xlsx or .csv) from your computer.
5. Type a prompt in the chat box to instruct the AI to convert the data (Refer to the Prompt Card).
6. Wait for ChatGPT to finish writing the code and generating the visuals within the Canvas window.
7. Click the 'Preview' button at the top of the Canvas window to view the interactive dashboard.
8. Click the 'Share' button to generate a 'Public Link' or share it as 'Private' if you are on a Team plan.

Alternative: Using Claude Artifacts for More Interactive Dashboards

1. Open Claude.ai and upload the same spreadsheet file using the attachment icon.
2. Enter the same prompt used in ChatGPT.
3. Claude will generate the dashboard in the 'Artifacts' window on the right side of the screen.
4. Test the dashboard's interactivity using the available filters (such as Region or Category).
5. Hover your cursor over the graphs to see specific data details.
6. Click the 'Publish' button at the bottom of the Artifacts window.
7. Click 'Publish' again to confirm, then click 'Copy Link' to share the dashboard with anyone.
