Steps to Generate an Audio Overview
- Visit the NotebookLM website (notebooklm.google).
- Click the 'New Notebook' button to start a new project.
- Click the '+' icon in the 'Sources' section on the left sidebar.
- Select your document source (Upload PDF, Google Docs, or paste a URL link).
- Wait for the AI to finish processing the documents.
- Click on the 'Notebook Guide' section located in the bottom right corner.
- Locate the 'Audio Overview' box and click the 'Generate' button.
- Wait a few minutes while the AI creates a podcast-style discussion (Deep Dive).
- Click the three-dot icon on the audio player and select 'Download' to save the file.
How to Generate an Interactive Mind Map
- Ensure your source documents have been uploaded to NotebookLM.
- Open the 'Ask a question about your sources' chat box at the bottom.
- Enter a prompt to generate Mermaid.js code (refer to the Prompt Card).
- Copy the output code that begins with 'graph TD' or 'mindmap'.
- Open a new tab and visit 'Mermaid Live Editor' (mermaid.live).
