How to Copy Project Data from ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT and navigate to the 'Projects' section in the sidebar.
- Click on the specific project you want to migrate.
- Locate the 'System Instructions' text box (the instructions that drive the AI's behavior).
- Highlight all the text inside the 'System Instructions' box and press Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C) to copy the information.
- Identify the files uploaded in the 'Knowledge Base' or 'Files' section of that project.
- Make sure you have the original copies of those files saved on your computer, as ChatGPT does not provide an 'Export' button to transfer files directly to other platforms.
Rebuilding Workflows in Claude Projects
- Log in to Claude.ai and click on the 'Projects' menu in the main navigation.
- Click the 'Create Project' or 'New Project' button to start a new session.
