Step by Step
Initial Steps to Set Up an AI Company
- Open the Paperclip app (the locally installed version is recommended).
- Enter your company or app name in the 'What do we want to name our app?' field.
- Provide a detailed description of the company's goals in the 'What is this company trying to achieve?' text box.
- Select an AI model for your CEO agent (First Agent). Choose a 'Frontier Model' (such as Claude) for the CEO to ensure the highest quality results.
- If you want to use a different model, select 'Open Code' to access the list of models from Open Router.
- Click the 'Next' button to proceed to the planning phase.
Appointing the First Agent and Giving Instructions
- Give initial instructions to the CEO in the task field (e.g., 'Hire your first engineer and create a hiring plan').
- Click the 'Next' button to launch the company dashboard.
- Check the sidebar on the left to see your active companies; select the newly created company project (e.g., 'Moola').
- Monitor the 'Dashboard' to view the project status and the 'Monthly Spend' budget usage for AI tokens.
- Open the 'Inbox' when a request notification appears from the CEO.
- Click on the CEO's request (e.g., 'Hire Agent') to review the task list planned by the CEO for the new agent.
- Confirm the agent's appointment by approving the 'Request' so the worker agent (such as an Engineer) can begin their tasks.
